Research On Simplification Method Of Animation Character In Derivative Design

With the development of society and advancement of technology,animation industry has gradually extended to various fields to form a complete industrial chain and become a powerful booster to global economic growth.Animation derivative design is an important part in derivative development,concerning and determining the success of derivatives and the operation of the animation industry.With the development of animation,the research of animation industry has become increasingly thorough at both home and abroad.However,the study on the method of derivative design is currently limited.The development of animation derivatives mainly comes from images of animation characters.Animation characters are the foundation of animation works,which could determine the cultural and commercial value of animation derivatives to some extends.The design of animation derivatives should not only keep the original meaning of the original character,but also make such character into material products,and finally improve the value of the animation character.In the design of animation derivatives,different application purposes and production orientations could determine various degrees of simplification and exaggeration on original characters.The design of animation characters itself is a kind of simplification and exaggeration based on realistic characters.However,the symbolic degree of the original image design of animation characters is not enough to meet the needs of various animation derivative carriers.Therefore,this thesis takes design methods of animation derivatives as the research object,and tries to develop a design method basing on the simplification of animation characters,which could apply to animation derivatives.This thesis chooses animation characters and derivatives as starting point;it then analyses the contemporary trend in animation derivative development;conducts psychological analysis on animation consumers according to“Use and Gratifications Theory”in Communication Science;summarizes sentiment and choice preference of animation derivative audience;and,as a result,predicts the future development trends of animation derivatives.In order to study the simplified derivative design method thoroughly,this thesis will firstly categorize the related products of animation and the material technology that it applies.Secondly,it will analyze the symbolic recreation of the original animation character,and finally summarize the principle of the design of animation derivatives.With the market as center and animation derivative marketing as a target,this thesis puts forward that simplified derivative design method based on animation characters goes better with the contemporary development trend.Thirdly,it will reconstruct the successful cases in market and record the process of creation,in order to discover the correlation between the animation character and graph,as well as symbol;combine materials technologies with popular elements in current market,and build a simplified derivative design method.And it aims at exploring how to better achieve the design and development of animation derivatives in China,and making Chinese design of animation derivatives "less but better",in order to form a virtuous circle of industrial chain,and to fill the blank in the design method of animation derivatives.This method will have an instructive effect on the future design and development of animation derivatives.
