Building Application Study On Bamboo Materials In Rural Landscape Architecture

With the development of ecological design ideological trends,bamboo materials have been widely recognized as a nature building material for its feature of wide resources,high yield and fast regeneration.Compared with those traditionals,the bamboo materials,which were born in the rural areas,are more suitable for the rural environment due to its natural texture,whereas it also have the common problem of natural materials.Considering the"artisan spirit" requirements in modern landscape architecture and the urgent need for rural materials in rural landscape,the application of bamboo materials is still in the ascendant stage.On the one hand,many designers give up the application owing to its "low" durability.In fact,they are lack of understanding of tectonic method and related protective technologies.On the other hand,many designers simply use bamboo materials as a substitutes for wood and steel,which reflects their primary thinking of design.In view of this phenomenon,the thesis takes the original bamboo materials as the research object,and firstly starts with re-examining the design value of bamboo material in the modern rural landscape from the social,cultural and ecological dimensions.Then,combined with the inductive analysis of the research cases,the article focuses on the application forms and tectonic methods of bamboo materials in rural landscapes,and analyzes the relationship between with bamboo and rural environments.Secondly,the author collects and reviews related literatures and discusses the vitality and protection technology of bamboo in landscape architecture applications.Finally,from the design point of view,combined with the previous discussion,this thesis summarizes the application strategy of bamboo materials in rural landscape architecture.It advocates that the use of bamboo materials should be based on tectonic technology,make full use of material characteristics,enrich application forms,explore application value and the best relationship between the materials and rural environment.Meanwhile,it is also necessary to use reasonable protection techniques to give those works the right vitality.The thesis will provide a theoretical reference for designers to understand the practical application of bamboo in rural landscapes,and also provide reference for the application research of other native natural material.
