Application Study Of Bamboo Building In Landscape Architecture

Ecological building is the product of human civilization and building area, as a great country of bamboo civilization, the Chinese people have used bamboo into buildings since ancient times. Bamboo can be widely used in landscape architecture because of its ecological characteristics, excellent mechanical properties and aesthetic value, promoting the construction of ecological civilization of the country. In this paper, the application of bamboo building was studied to inherit the national culture, to expand the theory and technology of buildings in landscape architecture.On the basis of reading a large number of literatures and doing some field investigations, the application cases and application types of bamboo buildings in landscape architecture were summarized, and then the bamboo buildings were divided into four types, recreation, service, culture-education, and sketch. After the comprehensive analysis of bamboo buildings’ application form, the basic principles of design and application were set out on the basis of a large number of application cases. Then the German-Chinese House in2010Expo was analyzed to show the structure, node connections, and design concept of bamboo building. The results were applied to the bamboo building design in modern agriculture sightseeing garden.Meanwhile, the application status and development prospect of bamboo building were analyzed according to the result of questionnaire, most people want to see more bamboo building in landscape architecture, and willing to participate in the construction. In view of this, bamboo building has a tremendous development potential in the future, it will need more follow-up studies.
