The Expression Of Zen Culture In The Planning Of Mountain-type Scenic Areas

Zen is an important sect of Buddhism,which is deeply influenced by the development of Chinese culture.At the same time,Zen is closely associated with the development of mountain culture.However,nowadays,mountain landscape with the characteristics of Zen culture is much scarce,and there are some problems like the depth of cultural excavation and expression is not enough.Therefore,it is of great significance for the theoretical research and practice of landscape architecture to study the planning method of mountainous landscape with Zen culture.In this paper,some methods were used to study the project with the combination of theory and practice,such as field research,practice project demonstration,literature research and so on.Finally,the main theory points of Zen cultural expression in the planning of mountain scenic area were put forward.Comprehensive using different space or terrain characteristics of overall or local mountain scenery,and combining the landscape components,including the forms such as temple,architecture of Zen culture,sculpture,animals,plants and so on,create the “vacant”,“seclusion”,“detached” and “change” atmosphere of the landscape,arousing the world to understand Zen thought,expressing the Zen connotation of mountain landscape,and creating a suitable environment for Zen practice.Additionally,planning content should be highly unified with the history of Zen culture,spiritual thought and material characteristics.Layout and form design of landscape elements should be consistent with the mountain environment in the aspect of “heart” “shape” “ambit” “spirit” “charm”.The landscape pattern should include these characteristics such as integrated,systematic and relevant,while the overall landscape structure can be relatively loose.Construction of landscape axis realizes the linking of Zen attractions and the unification of holistic Zen cultural landscape with mountain ecosystem.The construction of mountain attractions of Zen culture can rely on the historical resources to improve,integrate and expand,or choose some mountain scenic areas with excellent characteristics and advantages to build,and through natural and man-made landscape elements to convey infinite Zen charm.The performance content and conveyance of artistic conception could not limit with the form.The design should fully convey the meaning and spirit of the landscape,reaching the combination of Zen planning landscape with mind and vision,and the highly unified of human,object and environment.
