Research On Digital Protection And Display Design Of Tongwancheng Site In Yulin

With the release of the 《 Site protection “13th Five-Year” special planning 》 from National Cultural Heritage Administration and the development of the digital cultural industry,the protection of site which is a common material and spiritual wealth of mankind has entered a new stage and formed a new model combining the offline site protection and display with online digital protection and display.This model not only expands the theory and methods of the protection of Chinese sites,but also improves the speed and breadth of the spread of cultural sites in China.Tongwancheng,as the only capital ruins of the Hun who was ethnic minorities in northern China,was the Daxia’s capital established by the Lien Hun,a nobleman of the South Hun in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.It has a history of nearly 1600 years.Although the city has a rich heritage and a large historical information,it has not been a site protection park or site museum which truly has the function of spreading and carrying forward the cultural functions of the northern Hun people due to its terrible location--intersection of the Loess Plateau and the desert,harsh environment and the its long history.The thesis,on the basis of the perspectives of Communication and Design Science,has studied the existing wall ruins of Tongwancheng,unearthed and handed down articles,historical documents,and previous achievements using the academic research methods such as iconography,field investigation,literature research,and computer-aided design.In addition,the digital technology is used to collect and store the material culture and display it through internet technology to enhance the influence of the culture of Tongwancheng and promote the development of local tourism.The main work is as follows:(1)Teasing out the material culture of Tongwancheng City site and summarizing the humanistic and artistic value of the site from the historicalperspective.(2)Using digital technology to digitally collect physical objects such as wall ruins,gold and silver ware,ceramics,stone carvings and graphic patterns,as well as spirits culture and techniques behind the material,and have visualized formed protection data of site information.(3)Through combining the concept of “Internet +”and using interactive design theory,the thesis is based on the acquired visual information to disseminate the culture of Wantongcheng site through the carrier--mobile APP,and finally to achieve the aim of promoting human’s understanding and cognition of Chinese culture.
