Innovative Design And Research Of Outdoor Space For Children

Most of children's outdoor space in China is amusement facilities being placed on the ground,and little importance is attached to children's growth and its integration with nature,which is not enough to form a good boost for children's growth.Moreover,the construction and research of children's outdoor activity space lags far behind foreign countries.Therefore,systematic research on children's outdoor activity space is urgent.In order to promote children's healthy growth,good stimulation for physical and mental development shall be provided.Good outdoor activity space can provide children with diversified stimulation far beyond the indoor environment,which can not only improve the comprehensive quality of children,but also improve the quality of life of residents and reflect the social care of the city.With children's healthy growth as the entry point,this paper analyzes the boundary elements of children's outdoor activity space division area,the topographic elements that enrich the spatial levels,the material elements based on safety considerations,the interactive plant elements that form pleasant space,the color elements of intellectual inspiration,etc.Furthermore,children's outdoor activity space shall not only serve the children's group,but also meet the needs of adults and special groups.Therefore,the accessibility of the location,the microclimate of the space,a wealth of plants,facility configuration,the age difference,the gender difference,the civilization of space use and management,the presentation of regional elements and the attraction of various activities all affect children's outdoor activity space.Starting from the spatial vitality,the design principles of children's outdoor activity space are summarized,including the principles of safety,compatibility,education and richness,and the vitality improvement strategy of transforming functional layout to construct communication space and create ecological landscape is put forward.Combined with theory and analysis,design practice of the venue inside Liaocheng Phoenix Garden is carried out.The site's overview and surrounding environment are interpreted,the existing problems of the site are identified through the actual investigation,and targeted solutions are put forward.Taking into account the group characteristics and physiological and psychological needs of children,the functional area is divided into dynamic and static areas.This design focuses on the ecological design of children's activity space and encourages the interaction between children and plants,thus realizing the sustainable environmental development.Taking safety as the first consideration and combining with terrain,plants,pavement and other elements that enrich the site environment,this study tries to create a unique fun world for the children in Liaocheng city.
