A Study On The Settlement Pattern Of Traditional Fort-Type In Southern Fujian

Southern Fujian is located on the southeast coast.It used to be an important traffic channel for maritime culture and has long been on the verge of conflict.Especially during the Ming and Qing Dynasties,pirates,clan fights,etc.frequently appeared in the Southern Fujian region,and Southern Fujian became a key defense zone on the southeast coast.Therefore,there are numerous different scales of Fortress in the row of Tantric Area in southern Taiwan,forming a unique architectural landscape.However,the traditional Fortress settlements scattered throughout southern Fujian are in decline along with the development of the socio-economic level,and the large amount of historical and cultural information they carry will also disappear.Therefore,the investigation and analysis of the formation,development,and existing conditions of the traditional Fort Settlement settlements in southern Fujian has become a top priority.Located in Yunxiao County,Zhangzhou City,Fujian Province,Caipu Fort is a private Fortress settlement built by the power of the Zhang Shiliang aristocrats in the late Ming Dynasty.There are some typical aspects of the settlement pattern,defensive system,and building types of Caipu Fort.Therefore,this article chooses Caipu Fort as an empirical case,from a variety of perspectives of sociology,history,architecture,etc.,with a great deal of field research and research.Based on ancient architecture mapping,based on relevant historical and cultural data,it analyzes traditional settlements in southern Fujian.This article has three parts:The first part(chapter 1):Discusses the research background and related concepts of this article,sums up and summarizes the representative research results of the traditional Fortress settlements at home and abroad,and puts forward the research content and framework of this article.The second part(chapter2):First of all,sort out the background of the formation of traditional Fort settlements in southern Fujian.The geographical environment of the mountains and the sea,the southern crossing of the Central Plains and the Ming and Qing Dynasties during the war were important for the massive emergence of Fort Village the reasons;Then it elaborates the development course of Southern Fujian traditional fortress.,roughly divided into four stages:Beginning in the Yuan Dynasty-the first time in the Ming Dynasty to build a climax-the second time in the early and middle period of the Qing Dynasty built climax-after the mid Qing Dynasty built Depression period of the Fort;followed by the layout of the Fort Wall,divided into"siege-type"and"single-type",and examples of representative characteristics of the respective description of the Fort Village;finally the general spatial distribution characteristics of the southern Fujian Fort settlements is summarized as The back surface of the mountain and the open water in the periphery emphasizes the construction process of the trinity mixture fill construction and concludes that its defensive nature is based on the peripheral linear defense.The third part(chapter 3,4 and 5):In-depth analysis of Caipu Fort,first of all summarized the contents of Caipu Fort's natural geographical environment,the process of building a castle,folk culture,etc.;then it analyzed the geographical environment and Feng Shui.The influence of theory on the location of Caipu Fort is analyzed from the perspective of political system and clan conception,and the formation and composition of settlements are analyzed.Then,the defensiveness of Caipu Fort is analyzed in terms of both material and spiritual aspects.-Internal street and street defense-a single building defense composition,spiritual defense,including the construction of ancestral halls,palaces,auspicious and evil spirits,etc.;Finally,the characteristics of traditional public buildings and residential buildings in Caipu Fort are analyzed,and the layout of residential buildings is summarized.The main forms are the"four-in-one atrium","three-prong patio",and"one bright and two dark".Its architectural and technical features embody the wisdom of the people of the southern Fujian Province.The artistic features reflect the blending of Fujian and Guangdong cultures.
