Because of their high stabilization,efficiency and better economic,higher efficiency,Tunnel Boring Machines become an integral part of construction for underground transit and the tunnel traffic construction.Hob is an important part in broken rock and excavation work,therefore,the study of TBM plate type gear hob is very important.In view of the present stage,the research of TBM plate type gear hob testers still exists the problem of the adjustment between hob and the rock in different angle,Hob real working condition can not be simulated.Faced with these problems,this paper studies the working principle of TBM plate type gear hob in-depth.The existing mature mechanical models are analyzed,and the American college of Colorado mining model is chosen as the main research object.Based on study of the different failure forms of gear hob,this article chooses CSM model and adopts the way of 3D modeling of TBM type plate hob tester of virtual prototype which can adjust different angle.Through the strength check calculation and finite element analysis,the reliability of the testing machine design can be ensured.Based on the development and research of TBM plate type gear hob testers,this paper uses the Ansys-Workbench software and Hypermesh software to do the different angle statics analysis and dynamic simulation of the hob and the rocks.The results of research show:(1)Under the maximum principal stress,the statics analysis of different contact angle show that the knife circle stress range is the largest when the contact angle is 90°.The maximum stress value was 234.2 MPa.The stress value is the maximum when the contact Angle is 80°.Its value is 301.46 MPa.The smaller the contact angle of between the hob ring and the rocks is,the deformation of cutter ring is bigger.(2)In the dynamic simulation of different contact angle between the hob ring and the rocks,the stress of the hob ring mainly appear in the contact area and around the contact area.The stress distribution is wider,because the contact area is bigger when the contact Angle is 70° or 800°.The maximum stress value is 1.11 MPa.The deformation of the hob circle is gradually increasing with the development of the crushing process.(3)During the fragmentation process of rocks,the inner surface stress has good consistency with the X direction stress.But the hob ring's acceleration will lag 0.01-0.02s behind the velocity when the contact Angle is 70° or 80°.And the velocity and the acceleration will generate a small peak when the new broken area forms.Generally,the energy of the hob ring gradually increases with the rock fragmentation process.
