This paper first points out the main question of unpleasant experience of many museums in China nowadays. After the study of the developme ntal tendency of modern museums,I focus my study on two key points---on-the-spot experience and integral design of space and exhibition in museums based on the design project of two exhibition halls in east building of Shanghai Museum.Experience is the key of the design, while the integral strategy is both inherent requirement and solution. These two points are both similar and individual. In the case of experience-creation,I put forward a strategy of space script in reference of the book?Architectural Experience-the plot in space?——to combine both the logic of architectural space and exhibition content. In the case of integral design,I made a deep study and analysis on architectural space?exhibition content of the east building of Shanghai Museum as well as the audience, dig out the potential relationship between each element and the other, then combine each two of them to explore the integration of design strategies and key points. In the end,I apply the strategies to accomplish the space script in the design project.Combined with the development trend of the on-the-spot experience of museums, the holistic consideration and design of architectural space, the environment, the exhibition to form abundant space atmosphere of unified beauty, giving the audience unique experience,is of much significance. The theme of the design begins with the exhibition hall of Shanghai Museum, and has much reference value for many thematic museums and ruins museums as well as the permanent exhibition hall of lots of integrated museums.
