The global traffic data show that the vehicle-pedestrian crash accident is the the main form of road traffic accidents.Most of roads in China belong to motored and non-motored mixed lanes,which increases the occurrence probability of vehicle-pedestrian crash accidents objectively and demands more advanced vehicle-pedestrian crash accident reconstruction techniques.Besides,most of vehicle-pedestrian crash accidents happen to young adults who are the main labor forces of their families and our society.Thus the great economic losses and mental injuries that the above traffic casualties cause have a direct impact on the economic development and social stability in China.Therefore,the research on protecting pedestrians is an indispensable part of constructing a harmonious society.At first,this paper makes a research on investigation methods of vehicle-pedestrian crash accidents.Based on the practice experience and previous research results,the writer designs a complete in-depth investigating accident process and elaborates on each investigating procedure combining true accident cases.Then the writer makes a parameter sensitivity analysis on the vehicle-pedestrian crash accident reconstruction with the accident reconstruction app PC-Crash.The writer gains parameters beneficial for the accident reconstruction by means of mathematical models,single-factor experiment method and multiple-factor analysis method,and then the writer verifies the accuracy of the research result with true vehicle-pedestrian crash accident cases.Then,based on the data from 358 vehicle-pedestrian crash accident cases,this paper makes a deep statistical analysis on these accident data with the descriptive statistical method and obtains features of such related factors as pedestrians,vehicles,lanes and environment from the vehicle-pedestrian crash accidents,on which basis this paper analyzes the pedestrian injury combined with Logistic model and gets the correlation between the vehicle impact speed and pedestrian injury severity.At last,based on the reconstruction results of 183 true vehicle-pedestrian crash accidents,this paper sets up Autonomous Emergency Braking pedestrian detection model and make a research on the optimum detection angle,detection range,braking lead time and braking deceleration.then the qualified Autonomous Emergency Braking pedestrian system is applied to the accident vehicles and thus the vehicle-pedestrian crash accident pedestrian injury severity reduction rate is predicted.The researches of the paper are all based on true vehicle-pedestrian crash accidents.With the help of the accident simulation software,the following results can be gained:(1)high efficient and accurate accident reconstruction methods;(2)distribution regularities of vehicle-pedestrian crash accidents;(3)Autonomous Emergency Braking primary pedestrian system model reducing vehicle-pedestrian crash accident severity.The research results of this paper provide reference values for enhancing the accuracy and scientificity of accident identification results and improving active&passive safety design of vehicles.
