In recent years,the TBM has been a research hotspots and has a broad application prospect and market demand in China.But our country has not controlled the core technology of TBM.The study of on-line monitoring for the TBM disc cutter's wear remains in the exploratory stage.On the other hand,the existing monitoring systems have a deficient application effect in engineering practice.There is not an effective monitoring method.The status of disc cutter is mainly acquired by workers' technical experience,and the wear of rolling cutter is acquired by manual measuring when the machine stops running.Research on monitoring for the TBM disc cutter's wear would help to acquire the condition of disc cutter and TBM.In this paper,real-line monitoring for the TBM disc cutter's wear is realized based on the combination of an inductive proximity switch and a motorized translation stage.The specific research work mainly includes the following parts:(1)The existing prediction models and monitoring methods of cutter wear are summarized,then the structure and wear forms of disc cutter are carried out.The working principles of the inductive proximity switch and the motorized translation stage are introduced.Finally,the detecting principle is introduced and the detected device for TBM cutter's wear is designed based on the above-mentioned information.(2)The types of the above-mentioned components has been determined.Then the resolution and error of the monitoring system are analyzed in theory.(3)The hardware of the real-time monitoring system has been designed in this paper.The design of hardware wiring circuit is introduced based on the structure diagram of system's hardware.Then the working principles of hardware wiring circuit and other hardware modules are described.(4)The software of the real-time monitoring system has also been designed.The system software of STM32 MCU control-module is designed based on modular and structured programming ideas.Finally,the work principle and the program flowcharts are described.(5)The laboratory test shows that the real-time monitoring system has a good work reliability and monitoring accuracy.
