Due to the launch of large-scale infrastructure in our country, we need to build more tunnels, tunnel boring machine (TBM) can complete the excavation of the tunnels faster, at the same time higher quality and lower cost, therefore, TBM is increasingly demanded.Hard rock tunnel boring machine, as a kind of TBM, is mainly used for the excavation of hard texture layers, in the tunneling process by using a hard rock tunnel boring machine, the working environment of the cutter head of the TBM is very complex, disc cutter forces directly affect the tunneling direction, the effect of the disc cutter cutting rock in different construction parameters are not same, and the wear situation of disc cutter is very serious, which directly affect the construction schedule and cost.So, the studies of the cutter force of the hard rock tunnel boring machine, rock breaking mechanism and wear situation of disc cutter, the effects of breaking rocks in different conditions and the forecast on the wear situation of disc cutter are very important.This article first introduces the rock breaking mechanism of disc cutter, and elaborates the current existence of the three rock breaking theories, at the same time, we establish a rock breaking force theoretical model of constant cross section disc cutter based on the Rostami formula of CSM model.Secondly, we established a3D digital model of disc cutter parts of the hard rock tunnel boring machine, and establish a cutter simulation model in tunneling process according to the disc cutter head distribution, positional parameters, physical-mechanical parameters of rock and construction parameters.Horizontally force, vertically force and overturning torque were simulated in rock breaking process, and calculate the results by using MATLAB, so as to study the horizontally force, vertically force and overturning torque of the disc cutter in the rock breaking process. For the rock breaking problem, we use Drucker-Prager yield and failure criteria model to establish a finite element analysis model of disc cutter in ABAQUS software, and then validate the accuracy of the finite element model by contrasting the disc cutter rock breaking vertical force value with the theoretical value of the simulation.A rock breaking finite element model was established according to the effect of rock fragmentation issue under different working conditions, simulate and analyze the disc cutter under different cutter spacing, speed and depth, then investigate the rock breaking effect and the force of disc cutter.A wear-force model of disc cutter in different wear radius was establishes to study the wear problem according to Rostami formula of CSM model, study the ABAQUS finite element model we established, contrast the simulation results with the theoretical calculation results of the model to validate the rationality of the disc cutter wear model we established.
