Along with the implementation and implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative,the Tumen River region at the border of China,Russia,and North Korea has become an important window for Jilin Province to link the "One Belt and One Road" initiative and opening up to the north.In addition,South Korean President Wen Zai made the so-called "New North Policy" and hoped to strengthen economic cooperation with Russia in the Far East region.During this year's visit to China.he expressed the hope that he could quickly join the "Belt and Road" initiative of China;Since 2014,Russia has strengthened the development and opening up of the Far East,attracting foreign investment through the introduction of electronic visas and tax incentives,and seeking to develop the Far East through cooperation among countries in the Asia-Pacific region;in November 2017,the Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers issued a joint plan at the 22nd regular meeting.The communique clearly stated that it would support the participation of Chinese enterprises in the construction of port logistics,resource exploitation,and infrastructure in the Far East region of Russia,strengthen the in-depth cooperation between the Chinese and Russian customs,and continue to push forward the development of the "Binhai 1" and "Binhai 2"internationally.Traffic corridor projects,promote the construction of international logistics major thoroughfare.Since entering 2018,the situation on the Korean Peninsula has eased.In February,North Korea dispatched a high-level delegation to visit South Korea and attended the opening ceremony of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.In March,North Korean leader Kim Jong-un met with the Korean special envoy and agreed to hold summit talks between the two sides by the end of April,and on the 25th to 28th.The Japanese delegation led a delegation to visit China and the situation on the peninsula has eased.It can be said that the current domestic and international environment provides a good opportunity for the development of the Tumen River region.The Tumen River area is located in the Golden Triangle area of Northeast Asia and its geographical location is very important.As an important role in the development of the national economy,the port has extremely important economic value for the region.At present,although there are a certain number of ports in the Tumen River area,and there have been certain developments in recent years,there have also been problems such as vicious competition among ports,confusion in port positioning,waste of port resources,and excessive construction.This study attempts to tease out relevant theories on port competitiveness and studies the evaluation methods of port competitiveness at home and abroad.Based on previous studies,it combines the Tumen River region of Luojin Port,Chongjin Port,and Zarubino Port.The status quo of major ports,such as the comprehensive evaluation index system and method applicable to the evaluation of the major ports in the Tumen River region,will help the Tumen River region to achieve better positioning of the major ports and set up the hub ports and feeding ports in the region.In order to formulate a differentiated port marketing strategy,it fully combines the characteristics of each major port and proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for improving the competitiveness of major ports in the Tumen River region.
