The Primary Study On The Construction Connections Of Beams And Buildings Of Tang And Song Dynasty

Through yingzaofashi and the columns in Tang and Song architecture as objects,this paper aims at finding the constrction connections between columns and architecture, discovering the construction unit in Tang and Song dynasty, define the structure system by mechanics of qualitative analysis and comparative study. On this basis, study the function of basic module of columns. Then study the proportional relation of the colums and the width, the depth, the tall and so on. And find the relation between the form of column net and the architectural space.By summarizing the predecessors’ study, this paper redefines the character of mortise and tenon connected with the column of yingzaofashi and the architecture in Tang and Song dynasty, and analysis the stress path and the construction unit,and judge the structure system. This paper believes the structural concept still has its reference functions nowadays.Substance is the carrier of meaning. The study of substance is the basic step of architecture study. This article focus on the mechanic study, trying to solve the problem of mechanic level of ancient architecture which has not been paying enough attention.This work is a necessary step of knowing the fundamental problems. And it’s a foundation work for digging the connotation of architecture which has a huge acceleration for the study of ancient architecture in future.
