The sloshing of liquid in the container during the vehicle transportation is a typical phenomenon in industry, the sloshing process is very complex and has a great impact on the safety of vehicles driving. The effects of liquid sloshing on the stability of the vehicle and structural strength of the container were analyzed by numerical simulation method.Firstly, the sloshing phenomenon of liquid in the container and its impact on the walls under different liquid filling coefficients were studied. It is found that the liquid has a severe impact on the walls when the filling coefficient is between 0.5 and 0.7.The liquid sloshing phenomenon under different braking and swerving acceleration were analyzed which providing guides for the vehicle driving.Secondly, the effectiveness of the dashboard was proved and its structures were optimized. The impacts of liquid on the walls before and after the dashboards were installed were compared and found that although the forms of the dashboards are different, the liquid sloshing phenomenon was reduced greatly. The influences of the shape, number, area and other factors of the dashboards on reducing the liquid sloshing were studied and these parameters were optimized reasonably.Lastly, the influences of the liquid sloshing on the structural strength of the container were analyzed. It is found that the loading of the container were enhanced by the dashboards. At the same time, the position of the brackets and the cross-sectional shape of the container can also have significant effects on the structural strength. In this paper, the effects of liquid sloshing on vehicle driving stability and structural strength are studied respectively. It has guiding significances for the design of container and vehicle transportation.
