Research On Aldo Rossi's Urban Artifact And Related Contemporary Design Techniques

Buildings constitute the city;the city decided the way to build.The relationship between building and city has always been the focus by many architects.Facing the complex and diverse urban environment,what kind of attitude the new building should take is a problem architects should concern about.The book“the architecture of the city" wrote by Aldo Rossi mainly discussed the concept of urban artifacts.It set up a bridge of theoretical analysis between building and city,and then made further interpretation by architecture works.Further study of Rossi's theory and design works be helpful to the architecture design under urban environment.Through memory,city and architecture are connected by Rossi.This article is the analysis and interpretation of this view.The paper is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter,this paper analyzes the situation of urban development at the present stage,and defines the "urban architecture" refers to Rossi.The first paragraph also introduces the research status,development background and significance of urban architecture theory.The second chapter is mainly based on the theoretical analysis:first introduced Rossi's urban theory,focusing on Rossi' s comprehension about monument and city atmosphere,which are two main component events of a city.Then psychology theory was introduced to analyze the key element which can recall memories or give birth to new memories.All of the above helps to understand Rossi's design practices.The third chapter analyzes the works of Aldo Rossi,which are linked with different urban areas.The first three chapters mainly focus on Rossi.Unlike the fourth chapter mainly focus on the contemporary architectural design techniques in the urban context.The times are developing,architectural design techniques should also be corresponding forward.The fifth chapter makes a summary of the preceding article,including Aldo Rossi's urban theory and design techniques,New building construction method are also mentioned.And it further pointed out that In the process of the city and the building design,we should pay attention to the memory.Rossi's results are helpful to today,s architecture design.
