Research On Contractor Cost Management Of International Curtain Wall Projects

More and more Chinese curtain wall companies are entering to international project construction market with the "The Belt and Road" strategy proposed by Chinese president and rapid development of foreign contracted projects after China joined WTO.It is important to manage and control cost carefully and effectively and to adjust measures to local conditions as different countries and regions has different policies and regulations,climate conditions,human habits,resources and environment for different projects.This article described some cost management theories of international curtain wall construction contract,including characteristic of international curtain wall contract,cost composition of international curtain wall construction contracting,cost management characteristic of international curtain wall contract,cost risks of international curtain wall contract,main content of curtain wall construction cost management,and cost management procedure of curtain wall construction.Meanwhile,Basing on the completed curtain wall contracting of M curtain wall project in Malaysia by S curtain wall company,this article introduced the conditions of the M curtain wall project,including project background,curtain wall system types,cost characteristic and cost risks of the M curtain wall project,cost management measurement of S curtain wall company for this M curtain wall project etc.And further on,following the project cost result being analyzed after the completion,some management problems were pointed out.Finally this article put forwarded some cost management advice including cost management basing on risk grade,intensive and meticulous cost management,strengthening investigation and research,and attaching important to manpower resource management,etc..which is trying to provide a useful cost management reference for Chinese enterprises entering international curtain wall project construction business.
