Energy and environment are the important support of human existence and development, and are also two major themes of great concern in today’s world. The proportion of building industry in social terminal energy consumption has reached 25%~40%,which has a wide and deep impact on the environment.Under the call of the ecological concept, the heat of building energy conservation continues to rise, and residential buildings,as a type of buildings with the largest proportion, the widest distribution and the largest beneficiaries, should be given enough attention. The ultra-low energy consumption building led by German passive mode is an important reference for China to make considerable progress in the field of building energy conservation. In view of the cold and long winter climate in the northern region, residential heating has become the most indispensable component of architectural design,so the northern region has naturally become an energy-intensive area, while the breakthrough design in Germany almost abandons the traditional heating design and points to a new future for the development of the northern collective housing. This paper makes a comprehensive comparative analysis of Chinese and German architecture, and finds out the way out from the comparison of differences. The first chapter introduces the background and significance of this study, the concept of ultra-low energy consumption building, and integrates the history of energy-saving building development in China and Germany. In the second chapter, starting from the building itself, taking residential buildings as the object, and taking the five core elements of passive houses including air tightness, thermal insulation structure, passive windows, thermal bridge and fresh air system as the content, the author compares German passive design ideas, indicators and structural practices with China’s general energy-saving means, finds similarities and differences, and makes feasibility analysis. In the third chapter, starting from the external environment, the reasons for the emergence and development of passive buildings in Germany are analyzed from five main factors: society, economy, technology, law and talent, which can provide a useful reference for the rise and popularization of ultra-low energy residential buildings in northern China.Chapter IV,taking the pilot project of passive housing in China "on the water side" as an example, makes a detailed analysis. On the basis of summing up the successful experience of passive housing in China and Germany,it putsforward the appropriate design strategy for energy-saving design of residential buildings in northern China from the practical point of view.Ultra-low energy consumption building is not a single concept, but an integrated system of building, environment, energy, humanities and other factors in an effective way.It should be realized through the organic combination of high-efficiency and energy-saving design strategies and buildings and scientific and reasonable means. This paper makes a comprehensive study and summary in comparison, hoping to build ultra-low energy consumption collective housing in the north region.Provide some necessary theoretical basis and value reference.
