With ‘humanism' thoughts become the focus of attention in various fields of the world,the design idea of city planning is changing from only the persuit of material space needs to the feelings of people.The interaction and experience perception of people gradually become the focus of the urban space design.On the ather hand,since the spread of western feminism and the advancement of women's status and subjectivity in our country,the characteristics of sexual behaviors in gender differences start striking.As the most active users of urban commercial space,women's activities and feelings have important reference value for the construction of commercial space.The study choose psychological and physiological feelings as the research angle of view,and select typical commercial space in the city,Nanjing Xinjiekou,as the reseach object.Based on the fieldwork and the firsthand material such as the field investigation,the dissertation systematically studies the characteristics of sexual activity and spatial perception in Xinjiekou,and discusses the design strategy of commercial space environment in Xinjiekou under the female perspective.Firstly,started from the crowd activity,the study sorts out the behavioral characteristics of the sexs and the behavioral differencs within women in xinjiekou.And from the perspective of space,the characteristics of spacical distribution and the needs of women in different space types are explored.Secondly,the study reveals the women's perception of conmmercial space environment in Xinjiekou,namely mixed functional area,visual spatial boundary,simple and clear path system,high valueadded space node and contemporary business identity.It is believed that different types of women have different perception needs in space consumption,space culture,space quality,space security and space atmosphere.And it concludes that the women's perception difference of commercial space is due to the influence of behavioral subject difference,social culture and specific space barriers.Subsequently,the studty proposes the design strategies of commercial space environment in Xinjiekou uner the female perspective,such as the establishing gender integration space,strengthing spatial identifiability,enhancing security awareness and stimulating female public participation.Finally,the study concises the urban design methods of female perspective for the homogenous commercial space,put forward the inspiration that the urabn desigh research under the gender differences can start from the sexual activity characeristics and emphasis on “people-space” interactive relations,the perception of space and the female space demands.
