Electric connectors are the basic electromechanical components for realizing signal transmission and electrical transmission, which are widely used in aerospace, communications, and defense applications.Typically,a complete space system requires thousands of different types of electric connectors. The contact performance of the electrical connectors directly determines whether the system can work properly.Mechanical shock is one of the main environmental factors that affect the contact performance of electrical contacts. In this paper, virtual test technology was used to study the impact of mechanical shock on the contact performance of electrical connectors. The main contents of this paper are as follows.Firstly, according to the structural characteristics of the electrical connectors, the theoretical model of the contact resistance and contact pressure of the electrical connectors was established, and the relationship model between the contact pressure and the strain was deduced.Secondly, the technology of virtual shock test of electrical connectors was studied, including the determination of virtual test platform, the establishment of contact finite element model, the test of contact pressure of electrical connectors, the design of virtual shock test program and the imposition of shock condition.Thirdly, the virtual shock test of the electrical connectors under different shock conditions was carried out.The influence of the harsh grade, shock direction, peak acceleration and pulse duration on the deformation, stress and contact pressure of the contact was analyzed. Finally, the shock test was designed by using the resistance strain method and the experiment was carried out.The experimental data and the virtual test data were compared, and the error was analyzed.
