The electric connector is an indispensable electrical component in many fields,such as aviation,military and civil industry,and it is the basic component for electrical connection and signal transmission.The performance of the electrical connector is closely related to the safe and reliable operation of the system.Temperature is one of the important factors that affect the contact performance of the electrical connector.The influence of different temperature(high temperature,low temperature,temperature cycling)is different,therefore,it is important to study the temperature field distribution of the electrical connector and its influence on the performance of the electrical connector under temperature variation.Based on the analysis of the structural characteristics of the electrical connectors,the contact resistance model of the contacts of the electrical connector and the cantilever beam equivalent model of the jack reed are established,and the relationship between the strain of the jack and the contact pressure,the contact pressure and the contact resistance is deduced.According to the national standards for environmental testing of electrical and electronic products and related accelerated life test theory establish the simulation research program,based on the theory of thermal analysis,choose ANSYS workbench platform to simulate the temperature field of a certain type of electrical connector under the condition of changing ambient temperature.Based on the simulation results,analyze the temperature field distribution of the electrical connector under different temperature range and temperature changing rate.Take the simulation results of contact temperature field as the load of structural static analysis,to analyses the contact deformation and the contact pressure.The influence of the change of temperature condition on the performance of the electrical connector is analyzed according to the contact pressure.The simulation test is validated by the design experiment.
