With the increase ofaxle load and speed,the damage between wheel and rail is aggravating,friction control technology between the wheel and rail can effectively mitigate rail wear and reduce energy consumption.In this study,the selection of raw materials,formulation design and optimization of water base friction control agent on the top of the rail are studied.Firstly,modified waterbornePolyurethanewith Epoxy Resin which was selected as the binder,and the best synthetic condition were determined.The optimum formula of two kinds of friction control products were designed by uniform experiment.Secondly,used of the relevant mathematical modeling to comparing and selecting the best formula.Finally,studied of the aging performance,rheological properties,frictional properties and thermal decomposition properties of the two optimal formulations according to the performance requirements in the practical application process and selected a comprehensive performance of the friction control agent formula.1.in this study,IPDI and PPG2000 wereused as raw materials,DMPA was used to introduce hydrophilic functional groups,E44 was usedas modifier,triethylamine(TEA)was usedas neutralizingagent,1,4-butylene glycol was used as chain extenders to modified waterborne polyurethane with EDA,and discussedthe effects of DMPA addition,R value,hard segment content and the amount of E44.The study found that the best formula is when the amount of DMPA added 5%,R value of 1.5,hard segment content of 35%,E44 added amount of 8%.2.The epoxy-modified water-based polyurethane used as a retention agent,CMC and WJ used as rheological agent,molybdenum disulfide used as a solid lubricant,talcum powderused as a friction modifier to design of friction control formulations.The formulation of CMC and WJ was optimized by using uniform design,DPS data processing system and grid method respectively.The results were optimized by MATLAB.The optimum formulation of CMC friction control was as follows: adding27.0 g of WPU,3.0 g of CMC,4.4 g of molybdenum disulfide,4.4 g of talc and the optimum formulation of WJ is: adding 29.6g of WPU,11.2g of WJ,6.3g of molybdenum disulfide and 6.3g of talc in 100 g of water.The results ofCMC showthat the wear rate is 3.35%,the water absorption is 3.49%,the tensile shear strength is3.81 MPa,the tensile strength is 5.42 MPa,the elongation at break is 169.87%.The results of WJ show that the wear rate is 2.32%,the water absorption is 5.72%,the tensile shear strength is 4.43 MPa,the tensile strength is 3.32 MPa,and the elongation at break is 54.48%.3.According to the performance requirements of the friction control products in the practical application process,the abrasion resistance,water absorption and mechanical properties of the coating film are studied by manually accelerating aging test.It was found that the WJ type friction control agent can effectively delay the aging process of the friction control agent.And comparedwith the rheological properties,frictional properties and thermal decomposition properties of the two friction control agents.The optimal friction formula of the WJ type friction control agent was selected.
