Research Of Comprehensive Evaluation For Sea-river-through Pure Car Tuck Carrier From Wuhan To Zhoushan

China is the largest automobile production and marketing country in the world.The car along the coast and the Yangtze River waterway transport market is thriving and prosperous.The current cars’ transportations of the Yangtze River and coastal area need to be transferred from sea-ship to river-ship or the opposite way in Ningbo-Zhoushan area and Shanghai-Yangshan area,which come out many problems such as vehicle damage and ship security,long logistics cycle and high cost,low efficiency and port congestion.So,the markets need sea-river-through Ro-Ro ships to transport cars.The sea-river-through Pure Car Truck Carrier(PCTC)is a new type of ship,the sea-river-through problems and Ro-Ro problems must be considered additionally than a usual ship.They are the problems of sea-river navigability,seakeeping and cars securing.So it must be researched and demonstrated to get new ships that meet the requirements of national laws and regulations including maneuverability on the river and navigability at the sea.In this paper,the Grid Method and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)are used to make a comprehensive demonstration of sea-river-through PCTC.The seakeeping,cars securing and economic parameters are considered.Seakeeping evaluation indexes and cars securing evaluation indexes are added into the overall merit indexes than a common ship demonstration.The ship’s seakeeping indexes are researched by numerical simulation method,and cars securing indexes are researched by theoretical analysis,numerical calculation and test methods.According to the methods,the sea-river-through environment from Wuhan to Zhoushan and characteristics of Ro-Ro ship are analyzed to get the key problems and elements of the ship.The ship motion responses in wind and wave environment are researched.The relationships between the ship parameters and seakeeping factors are established.Then the cars securing is calculated and evaluated under the motion responses.The relationships between the ship parameters and fastening force are established too.The comprehensive evaluation index system of sea-river-through PCTC is established including seakeeping and cars securing index.Above the researches,the excellent sea-river-through PCTCs to meet the market requirements and sea-river-through environmental requirements are determined.The excellent ships’ lengths are in the range of 135-145 meters,the widths are in the range of 24-26 meters and the drafts are in the range of 3.7-4.3 meters.The advices about sea-river-through PCTC are given at last.The excellent ships are available for the markets,and the methods can be also suggestions to serve the shipping industry.
