Renewal Of Traditional Handicraft Regeneration In Wenzhou Wan Yao Village Of Zhejiang

Traditional handicraft,the millennium-aged treasure of a nation,is an excellent culture created by laboring people during the long social practice.Against the background of modernization,traditional handicraft declines gradually.At the same time,as one of the carriers of traditional culture,traditional villages are under similar circumstance.Among the first batch of traditional Chinese villages,there is one named Wanyao village in Wenzhou city,Zhejiang province.Wanyao village is the major producer of traditional porcelain in southern Zhejiang.It has a long history of traditional blue and white porcelain culture with its uniqueness and inheritance.Studying the relationship between porcelain production technology and architectural space environment in Wanyao village is of great importance.The article analyzes the current situation of traditional handicraft at home and abroad,and the trend of village protection and renovation.Besides,it expounds the development history,process flow,product features,and craft value of porcelain production technology in Wanyao village.Under the influence of the traditional porcelain craft,the article also studies Wanyao village’s folk culture and space morphology features,which include village location,village layout,spatial form,spatial feature,resident feature and building materials.By analysing the contradiction between porcelain production technology and dynamic development of WanYao village,I put forward three aspects: the village space renewal,the cultural renewal and the industrial renewal to promote the interconnected development of traditional culture and the whole village,which not only bring Wanyao village back to life,but also provide regenerative direction for nationwide villages dominated by handicraft.
