The transmission NVH performance is one of the significant indicators of the vehicle quality evaluation,and it is also one of the important indicators of ride comfort.Therefore,the transmission NVH performance is one of the vital competition field among domestic market.Moreover,statistics shows that the complaints about quality problems of self-owned brands vehicle are still concentrated on the engine,transmission,body parts and electrical parts.Therefore,nowadays,based on the technology about powertrain quality control,the noise and vibration control of transmission has a great significance for improving the overall quality level of the self-owned brands vehicle.This paper will demonstrate the optimization of inside noise level through powertrain system control on vehicle level,and I will explain it with my own experience on testing and adjusting.In the modern automobile R&D process,the transmission NVH positive development is strictly decomposing into every subsystem,just like the vehicle level R&D.As for transmission problem finding and solving,we have to focus on suspension stiffness,powertrain layout and so on.This paper will demonstrate the relevance between frequency spectrum of near field noise and inside noise on 2nd,3rd and 4th gear.Further on,identify the root cause of transmission gear whine,to be specific,structure resonance on 700 Hz and poor isolation of the mountings.According to the automobile R&D process,which is risk avoidance ? prototype vehicle trial ? problem finding and solving ? prototype vehicle trial ? problem improvement assessment ? quantity production and come into the market,there is still a lot of the work after the problem finding and solving state.Mainly because the implementation of problem solution involves technology,cost and product development cycle,the final problem improvement proposal is not really the best optimization.The final proposal always is a modification or a compromise which meets the requirements of a higher NVH performance level.
