Study On Historical Research And Restoration Design Of Jinling Hostel In The Historical Section Of DaMa Road In Nanjing Hsiakuan

Jin Ling Hostel,located in the west section of Da Ma Road in Nanjing Hsiakuan.Was used an old commercial hotel building in the most prosperous period of Hisakuan commercial port,mainly used in social production and commercial trade activities,but soon after was destroyed by the war of resistance against Japan.Historical infomation show that this three storey tall building has a mixed style of Chinese and Western style,with huge volume,beautifully decorated parts and obvious architectural features.Nowadays,with the development of the construction plan of Hisakuan,a new round of revival and consolidation is carried out in the Da Ma Road section.In order to integrate the city design of the west section of the whole Da Ma Road,it is of great significance to repair the historical scene,to mend the city memory,and to study the restoration design of the building which carrying important historical memory.This paper studies about the historical research and restoration design of Jin Ling Hostel,which is mainly divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction.including the background,purpose,content,literature review and research methods.The second part presents the existing collection of the historical data about the building,including the literature and image data,then draw a conclusion about the value of the historic building is analyzed though depth analysis and interpretation.The third part is about the case study,first of all,study the same type of architecture at the same time in the same area,then summarize the general architectural dimensions and structural practices,and provide reference for the restoration design.At the same time,by studied the classic recovery design cases at home and abroad,and drew on their ideological theories and empirical methods.The fourth part puts forward the framework of the restoration research,and proposes that the framework study should be constrained by laws and regulations,field investigation,the selection of reference materials and so on,and the basic ideas of the research on the restoration design should be summarized.The last part introduces the results of restoration design in detail from the aspects of site restoration,spatial layout,structural design,interface restoration and detail practice.
