Research On Evolvement And Renewal Of The Surrounding Area Of Tianjin Urban Ringlike Railway Under The Perspective Of Heritage Protection

The railway heritage is the embodiment of advanced engineering technology and the wisdom of the city in different times.The urban railway heritage,which not only includes the science and engineering memory in different periods but also carries the different historical period of the social memory,specific historical events and communication activities,has a certain scientific value,historical value,and cultural value.Tianjin is a famous industrial and commercial city in modern China with a splendid industrial historical background.The ringlike railway,formed from the development of Tianjin city,has promoted the urban development of Tianjin and is an important clue to the development of Tianjin’s urban industrial economy.In the process of industrial relocation and industrial transformation in Tianjin,the abandoned railway resulted in the decline of the surrounding areas and the loss of vitality,and the surrounding areas of the abandoned railway became the lost space of the city,forming spatial differences with the working railway areas.Therefore,it is necessary to study the land renewal in railway areas from the perspective of railway heritage protection.From the perspective of railway heritage protection,this paper sorts out protection contents and methods of railway heritage protection and urban renewal,combs the formation of Tianjin urban ringlike railway and its heritage attribute,Based on the definition of heritage attribute,the research constructs the interconnection between history and present situation of Tianjin urban ringlike railway and its surrounding area,which includes the analysis of the formation background,historical characteristics,present spatial characteristics,development bottleneck,influence factors and the relationship between the railway and the surrounding areas.At last,this paper puts forward the strategy of surrounding land renewal from the five aspects which are utilization of cultural heritage,adjustment of land use function,improvement of residential area quality,construction of green space system and improvement of transportation system to guide the interaction development of Tianjin urban and ringlike railway and make the land renewal of Tianjin urban ringlike railway surrounding area become the spatial carrier in regional rejuvenation.This paper mainly covers five aspects.The first part defines the research background,research objection,research significance and reviews the present research situation and trends at home and abroad from the two aspects of the theory and practice of railway heritage protection and urban renewal,and defines the scope and object of the study.The second part defines the concept of railway heritage and urban renewal,combs the basic characteristic and methods of railway heritage protection and the basic contents and methods of urban land renewal.Based on the theory of heritage corridor,urban catalyst and intensive use of land,the article defines the heritage attributes of Tianjin urban ringlike railway and its surrounding area,to provide a theoretical basis for further research.The third part interprets the historical development process and spatial pattern evolution of the Tianjin urban ringlike railway and its surrounding areas,summarizes four types of historical characteristics of the surrounding areas formed by the influence of railway development,which are historical spatial characteristics,cultural characteristics,industrial characteristics and social characteristics of the surrounding land of the Tianjin urban ringlike railway for providing a historical basis for the renewal of the surrounding areas of the Tianjin urban ringlike railway.The fourth part analyses the current spatial characteristics and current development bottleneck from the five perspectives,which are cultural relics,surrounding land use function,community and population,green space system,transportation system,and summarizes the influence factors and the relationship between the railway and the surrounding areas.The fifth part,from the perspective of railway heritage protection,puts forward the protection and reuse mode of Tianjin urban ringlike railway heritage based on the current railway utilization situation,and proposes the renewal strategy and protection mechanism of the surrounding areas according to the different characteristics of the working railway and the abandoned railway.
