Haidong prefecture is located in the most eastern part of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau.It is the intersection of the the Yellow River and the Huangshui River basins,and the East is adjacent to Gansu province.Special geographical location brings Haidong prefecture special ecological environment and folk culture,and Han,Tibetan,Hui,and other ethnic groups live together in this area.On the basis of traditional Tibetan Buddhism architecture,there are traditional architectural techniques and techniques of other ethnic groups,which originate from the special historical environment and geographical conditions.From the perspective of architecture,this paper studies the historical development,architectural technology and space form of Tibetan Buddhist architecture in Haidong area with the help of the existing historical,sociological and architectural materials.Through the summary of the existing data and the on-the-spot investigation,the existing representative Tibetan Buddhist buildings in the area are analyzed and discussed.There are six chapters in this paper,which explore the Tibetan Buddhist architecture in Haidong.The first chapter introduces the significance and purpose of the study,and introduces the specific research methods and framework.The second chapter describes in detail the special environment and cultural background of the development of Tibetan Buddhist architecture in Haidong.The third chapter begins with the development of Tibetan Buddhist architecture and discusses the historical stages of the development of Tibetan Buddhist architecture in detail in the area of the special development process in the area of Haidong.From different angles,the fourth chapter describes the main building facilities,site selection,plane facade characteristics and architectural decoration characteristics of the monastery.The fifth chapter combs the outer space of the temple and analyzes the special external space form of the Tibetan Buddhist temples in Haidong.The sixth chapter is the great influence and special significance of Tibetan Buddhist architecture on Haidong's architectural development.
