Children’s Activity Space Under The Renewal Of Urban Residential Community

Under the background of the urban renewal in Chinese cities,this thesis proposes the design and transformation of children’s activities space(places)in the typical residential community that are based on children’s behavior and activity models.This thesis explores the more optimized and systematic methods of using the children’s activities as the basic scheme to design the public spaces in the transformation of urban communities;sums up relevant historical precedents at home and abroad,and makes references of relevant commercial success stories in the real practices.At the same time,it may also serves as a different perspective,and discover new possibilities to the content or manifestation of urban renewal.This thesis hopes to raise the public’s awareness that children space plays a crucial role for the development of the entire society,in the composition of modern urban structure and also in the long-term development of future human race.Therefore,a more distinct and reasonable perspective that focuses on the children space design is a very significant issue to the society.
