In the whole power grid,substation engineering is an inaccessible part.Hence,it is more than important to design the substation engineering properly.It provides the entire project with theoretical basis,cost control and verification of feasibility and effectiveness.In 2012,China Southern Power Grid Company Limited's infrastructure department took the lead in publishing 'China Southern Power Grid V1.0 Application Manual of 110kV-500kV Substation Standard Design'(referred to as the Standard Design V1.0 below).The proposal of the standard design by China Southern Power Grid Company introduced the ideas of 'full coverage' and 'stratification',and achieved a combination of program and module,balancing the unity and flexibility and building a new standard design system.Moreover,the Standard Design V1.0 guides the design organizations to apply the standard design in the actual projects.The standard design is the concept of a combination of standard plan and module application,transferring the 'tailored'design method to 'customized clothing custom' standard design method.In other words,it is a method that provides standardization of unit modules,virtualization of external conditions and modularization of the overall layout.Standard design has advantages including unity,advancement,adaptability,flexibility and economic efficiency.Furthermore,standard design is a conclusion of the previous project design,which is normally based on the previous design plans of 500kV,220kV and 110kV substations,fully considering the geographic characteristics and construction habits of the Southern Power Grid Company.With the development trends of equipment,materials and process,it is a well optimised design method.By describing the characteristics,basic forms,overall framework,technical principles,substation program and module application steps of Standard Design V1.0,this dissertation designs an advanced and green standardized 110kV substation with Standard Design V1.0 considering the specific requirements of the 110kV Luwo substation project in Wuming.By applying Standard Design V1.0 in preliminary design of electrical section of 110kV Luwo substation project,this dissertation concludes the characteristics and advantages of Standard Design V1.0 from preliminary design work including electrical primary and secondary design,short-circuit current calculation and selection and verification of conductors and electrical equipments.Standard design is able to be widely adapted to the conditions of the power grid and geographical environment.It has the advantage of advancement and a value of popularization,demonstrating it as a development trend of the future transformation project design.
