The fact that the traditional Chinese culture "loyalty" and the "ten thousand people competing for a single-plank bridge" and the fact that the school is pursuing the higher education rate have increased the pressure on middle school students and the psychological problems of middle school students have become more and more serious social reality.However,the construction of the outdoor environment of high school campuses in our country has always been economical and practical.Campus landscapes have a single universal form and lack of functionality,and they have not met the psychological needs of middle school students in adolescence.This study tried to integrate the idea of healing gardens into the campus landscape design so that the space meets the needs of students in the use groups.Through theoretical research,case study,comprehensive analysis,research and design practice research,we have systematically studied the problems associated with the landscape design of secondary school campus healing gardens,and reached the following conclusions:(1)The meaning and benefits of healing gardens were elaborated,and two important healing methods in healing gardens were introduced,namely horticultural treatment and landscape treatment.It focused on the analysis of the psychological characteristics of middle school students in adolescence and their negative impacts,and summarized the theoretical basis for the healing of the natural landscape,including the psychological benefits,attention recovery theory,and decompression theory,resulting in the natural landscape brought about by healing gardens.Benefits have a positive impact on middle school students in reducing stress,restoring attention,enhancing positive emotions,and improving psychological well-being.(2)Summarized the healing landscape features of the four typical cases of Healing Garden of National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences,Healing Garden of Chinese Cultural University,Healing Garden of Kainan University,and Healing Garden of Good Samaritan Hospital.Cross-comparisons extracted several important design points for healing garden landscapes—people-oriented,five-sensory experiences,water elements,gardening activities,and barrier-free design.(3)Through the combing of theoretical basic research and case analysis research,the design concept of the five-sensation experience of the secondary school campus healing garden landscape was proposed.In combination with the psychological characteristics of middle school students,the landscape design principles for campus healing in middle schools have been proposed for distance,charisma,safety,functional diversity,concealment,interest,visual openness,and comfort.In the research on the major design elements of the campus healing gardens in middle schools,specific analysis was made of water elements,plant elements,facilities,and garden roads,and the specific application methods and healing effects in the middle school campus healing gardens were discussed.(4)Analyzed the geographical location,natural conditions,landscape status and use groups of the secondary schools affiliated to Northwest A&F University,and put forward the design guidance idea of "Healing and Physical and Mental Health" and the design concept of "Five Senses of Experience".The overall layout of the project was defined as “a loop a ribbon five zones and five landscapes” The landscape features of the five landscape nodes were outlined in detail,and road design,space design,and planting design were carried out to form a complete secondary school campus healing garden landscape design.
