City is a complex of all-encompassing,street is one of the important elements of string city,play a key role,but with the passage of time,most of the streets are mostly for the passage of motor vehicles,less,for pedestrians consider the functional sex of the streets in addition to traffic,the lines,the people in the street to stop time more and more less,on the streets of most visible color only in a hurry passer-by,generally constitute in the residential area,in the city,communication between people is so valuable,the interpersonal contact alienation,intensify differentiation of urban space,the street stay in fact is one of the indispensable relationship leisure places.In order to solve this problem,this paper,taking social streets as a starting point design,the development of the public space of the street is for our attention,public space makes people gathered together,chatting and know each other,for people living in this street is very important.The street is a place of life,where people of different classes gather together and show the various intention places of society and are part of the city's communication.Through the residential streets form,deeply understanding the different demand patterns,comprehensive city street design,history,sociology and other multi-disciplinary knowledge,analysis summed up the influence and restriction of residential street problem,to solve these problems to discuss how to solve the insufficiency of residential street,attribute reduction residential street,thus make originally warm streets have human feelings,show China's urban landscape.In this paper,to fully consider the design of the residential streets how to adapt to and meet the needs of people's material needs and spiritual life,as well as the construction of residential and residential culture,through the retrofit design of the Wuhan trading street as an example,the article design a can for the settlement of the people of a new work way and stop place,creating a more livable environment,promote stay static activities,activities and social activities,through the form of overall layout,analyzed the function of the street,the whole street with modular design technique to carry on the design creation,scattered,cutting,restructuring the entire streets,more caring citizens,healthier,more inclusive,design originates from life,make more detailed design of the street livability and sustainability.
