A Study On Urban Morphological Evolution Of Wuhan In The Sino-soviet Friendship Period (1949-1965)

In the early days of the founding of new China,Wuhan is as to a key support for the country to learn from the experience of the Soviet Union’s socialist urban construction,the construction of the Stalin Moscow as a model for Wuhan’s city development and construction of the template.During the Sino Soviet friendship,the development of Wuhan’s city is representative in Chinese cities.This paper takes the urban form of Wuhan city as the research object,takes the specific historical period of Sino-Soviet friendship as the breakthrough point,and makes an in-depth study on the evolution of Wuhan city form from 1949 to 1965.The research mainly focuses on the macro historical level,mainly focus on the Wuhan city industrial structure,layout,construction workers,village style public building four aspects,respectively,though the longitudinal study by Wuhan in 1949 before and after,and the comparison between Moscow and Wuhan City,outlines the towns of Wuhan in the Sino Soviet friendship a special historical period of the city form evolution process and characteristics.Through the study of the development of the city in a historical period,this paper probes into the inner impetus to promote the evolution of the urban form of Wuhan,and reveals the laws and characteristics of the development of Chinese cities in the period of Sino Soviet friendship.Through the collation and analysis of the local chronicles of Wuhan,modern archives,maps and other documents,combined with the investigation on the basis of historical research,theories and methods of city history,city morphology,this paper systematically analyzes the evolution of Wuhan city form the Sino Soviet friendship period background,basis,characteristics,comparison of evolution and Wuhan city form.By means of multi factor analysis,a comprehensive analysis of the interaction of political,economic,cultural and technological factors has led to the evolution of Wuhan urban form during the Sino Soviet friendship.At present,China is in a period of rapid urbanization and rapid economic development,the study of past urban form can play a role in guiding the healthy development of the city.The research of this paper provides a valuable reference and a inspiration for the urban planning of contemporary Wuhan,which is of great valued to both theoretical and practical significance.
