Adding a viscous damper to the structure can increase the damping of the structure and significantly reduce the seismic response of the structure.The working efficiency of a viscous damper is related to how it is installed in the structure The existing damper arrangement mechanisms,such as toggle-brace and scissor-jack arrangement mechanism,can effectively amplify the lateral movement to structural layers,thereby improving the working efficiency of the damper.However,for a structure with particularly large lateral stiffness,in order to increase the working efficiency of the viscous damper,the damper arrangement has to have a larger displacement amplification factor.In this paper,the scissor-jack damper mechanism is improved,and an efficient scissor-jack damper mechanism is proposed.The main research work of this article includes:(1)Put forward the composition,connection method and working principle of efficient scissor-jack damper system.(2)Analyze and establish the calculation diagram and calculation model of efficient scissor-jack damper energy dissipation system,study its geometric composition and derive its displacement magnification factor formula;Analyze the force distribution of efficient scissor-jack damper energy dissipation system;Study viscous damper’s mechanical properties and restoring force model,then derive its damping ratio formula based on above analysis.(3)Setting up a steel frame model with efficient scissor-jack damper energy dissipation system,then take sine displacement excitation test with different displacement amplitudes and loading frequencies.According to test results,kinematic characteristics and force characteristics of efficient scissor-jack damper energy dissipation system can be studied,and the accuracy of displacement magnification factor formula can also be verified.(4)Building a seven-story steel frame model,then establishing program model for no-control structure,structure with scissor-jack damper system,structure with efficient scissor-jack damper system by software SAP2000 separately.Taking time-history analysis under multiple and rare earthquakes respectively.Analyze the dynamic response results,and verify the energy dissipation effect of efficient scissor-jack damper energy dissipation system.The research shows that efficient scissor-jack damper energy dissipation system can greatly enhance the displacement magnification factor,which also has good energy dissipation effect in structure.
