With the acceleration of urbanization in China,the urban complex has been emerging to improve the utilization efficiency of urban land.Because of the complexity of the internal space structure and function diversity,personnel behavior in commercial complex,the load characteristic,plants operation and indoor environment is intricate.Therefore,the plants design needs to combine its own characteristics,rather than imitate traditional commercial buildings.Based on the air-conditioning use demand and indoor thermal environment the research of commercial complex,combined with the plants operation data,the main features and problems of commercial comlex related to air-conditioning system.Through DeST model of commercial complex,the load characteristics is analysed,and different plants design optimization is compared.Besides,the potential of using free cooling is calculated and analyzed.First,the air-conditioning use demand and indoor thermal environment is analysed including different space layout,commercial format dstribution,passenger flow distribution and operating time.The indoor thermal environment in commercial complex in cooling season is researched,the results is used to analyse whether the temperature ad outdor air flow are appropriate and fairly well-distributed.Second,the common plants design for commercial complex is summarized through literature and field research.With the actual daily plants opetation data,the energy consumption,operation mode,efficiency and water system is analysed to find the characteristics and problems.Third,by using DeST to model two typical commercial complex in ChengduChongqing regon,the cooling load of different building diatrict,commercial formatis compared and plants design optimization according to different load patterns.By theoretical calculation,a commercial complex in chengdu can be applied to free cooling strategy by using tower cooling tower for 1632 h,and the total cooling load accounts for 17% of the accumulated cooling load in the whole year.
