Considering the small diameter of condenser tube and the changes of shaft wtaer level of cooling tower, this paper improve the mathematical models. Combined with the actual layout of the situation of the dalate and hengfeng plant, the paper establish the mathematical model for a certain water-cooling system, using FORTRAN language to compose calculation procedure, calculate the hydraulic transition process with the newly established models and receive some curves which include the change curve of pump rotational speed, flux, the outlet pressure head of pump, the import and export pressure head of condenser, pressure head of cooling tower, and then analyses the result. At the same time, the paper optimize the close procedure of butterfly valve and calculate the hydraulic transition process of the 1st unit in hengfeng plant when two circulating pumps stoppage caused by power failure, considering the phenomenon of the separation of water column at the entrance to the condenser.
