Landscape Design Research Of Chongqing Memorial Plaza

With the development of China’s economy,the commemorative square in the modern city began to emerge.City memorial plaza carries the history of the city and even the nation,usually in space in various carrier told people of important historical and cultural story or influential people,etc.,bring emotional resonance to visitors.However,in many design works,it is found that designers attach great importance to the landscape effect,but often neglect the most important experience and place spirit.Chongqing has built many commemorative squares because of its deep historical culture.The memorial square shows the culture of mountain city,the red revolution,the three gorges culture and the culture of chongqing.However,manycommemorative square faces the situation of environmental aging and lack of humanistic spirit.This article mainly from two aspects,one is the human emotional experience;Another is the construction of the site spirit to conduct research and analysis,find out problems and come up with corresponding solutions through design practice.First mining chongqing cultural history theme,an analysis of the specific research various places,such as the local natural environment,cultural customs,etc.,then memorial plaza design theory and principle of combination of field research in chongqing,further study of city memorial plaza design strategy and the expression of place spirit.This paper starts with the discovery problem and determines the direction of the research through the exploration of the literature.Then,the author thinks about the concept of memorial plaza,spatial features and contact with people,and discusses the existing problems in memorial square.The third problem is to find out the principle of design and the strategy to solve the problem through on-the-spot investigation.Finally,through practical design,combining theory with induction,the conclusion and subsequent thinking are drawn.
