The inherent particularity of the historic district,it carries the memory of the city and is a witness of the development of human civilization.Not only of the building remains,its human landscape,psychological environment and surrounding facilities are also worth protecting,constitute the representative image elements of the areas.Public facilities can express their unique regional cultural content and continue historical skeleton.The public facilities on the street are the most closely related to pedestrians,and are the most intuitive services for the public.However,the renewal of existing public facilities is only a filling of basic material needed for life,the value of historic blocks hasn't been taken seriously.The paper focuses on the detailed survey of public facilities in Fenglin Street,discovers problems from user's angle and analyses deeply from regional,cultural,and functional aspects,as a mean to explore and solute the current problems of public facilities in Fenglin Street.The paper first researches deeply on the related theories of public facilities in historic districts by consulting a lot of literature.Define the concept,basic characteristics and protection value of historic blocks,the functions and classification of public facilities in historic blocks and the relationship between historical districts and public facilities,and briefly describe the Fenglin Street historic district profiles in the paper.And on this basis,raise the principles and methods for design renewal of public facilities,and put forward three relevant advice through field research on public facilities in Insadong,Seoul.Then,through POE method,research the current situation of public facilities in Fenglin Street and collect the users' psychological feelings.According to the use perceived evaluation,the problems of function deficiency and the disappearance of regional culture are discussed.Based on the location preference evaluation,the opinions of the distance and space ratio in the public facilities planning are drawn.According to the survey of the cultural situation of the street,get the categories of cultural elements that users are most interested in.Finally,according to the planning proposal,determine the type,quantity and location of public facilities.Combining the use of perceptual analysis results,propose design strategies in terms of functional renewal and regional cultural element extraction,make core imagery charts by filtering the user-interested cultural categories.Fusing different facilities' functional design features applying the charts.Through the abstract forms,composing the typical symbolic symbols,and the most intuitive from the public facilities,feeling the regional culture of the historic blocks,generating emotional resonance,and continuing the cultural tradition.The paper is the operation of the actual project of Fenglin Street,introduce the user's sentiments to the design of public facilities in Fenglin Street,which helps the designers to accurately grasp the characteristics of the historic streets in Fenglin Street,and propose targeted solutions to the existing problems in the streets.So that design can be maximized the potential of the play based on the user's feelings.
