Research On The Protection And Regeneration For The Remains Of Military Buildings In Macao Historical Center Based On Cultural Routes

As a type of linear cultural heritage protection,Cultural Routes have been widely recognized and applied in the world since its introduction in 1993,and have played a more prominent role in the integrity protection and regeneration of heritage.And always in continuous development and research.The Macao Historical Center was successfully applied for world cultural heritage in 2005.It also marks that Macao and even China have made significant achievements in heritage protection.Due to the remarkable linear heritage of the Macao Historical Center,there are still some flaws and deficiencies in the integrity protection of the heritage.This paper as a subtopic of the National Natural Science Foundation "Research on the Protection and Regeneration for Lineal or Serial Cultural Heritages,Based on Cultural Routes and Taking Macao Historical Center as An Example",taking the Remains of Macao Military Buildings Cultural Routes as the basic research content.Through in-depth study of Cultural Routes and the Remains of Macao Military Buildings,a Cultural Routes for the Remains of Macao Military Buildings has been drawn up.The “problem-oriented” approach is used to further explore the optimization model for its integrity protection and regeneration,with a view to forming a complete,continuous,diverse,and linear Macao Military Building heritage with cultural attributes in order to cope with the lack of integrity protection and regeneration.The text first studies the basic theories and methods of studying Cultural Routes through literature research,and summarizes the judgement basis for Cultural Routes and the application of cases.Second,from the combing of historical materials,the process of historical changes on the Remains of Macao Military Buildings is reproduced,and clarified the context and relationship between the Remains of Macao Military Buildings and the Cultural Routes.Based on this,on-the-spot investigations have been conducted to further study the characteristics and existing problems of the Remains of Macao Military Buildings.Finally,based on the previous theoretical and practical perspectives of the Remains of Macao Military Buildings,we will analyze and reconstruct the Remains of Macao Military BuildingsCultural Routes,And put forward the corresponding strategies for the integrity protection and regeneration of urban cultural promenades,integrated identity protection,and the use of digital technologies.In order to provide a reference ideas for the integrity protection and regeneration of cultural heritage in China and even the world.
