Study On The Protection Of Historical Towns Based On The Perspective Of Cultural Routes

The Sichuan-Tibet Tea and Horse Road,as a cultural route closely intertwined with the Tang Fan Ancient Trail and the Southern Silk Road,is an important trade corridor and cultural passage in the southwestern region in history.The historical towns along the ancient road have developed over hundreds of thousands of years,and have accumulated profound cultural values and various cultural elements with regional characteristics.They are the bright pearls on the Sichuan-Tibet Tea and Horse Road.Nowadays,with the development of modernization,the advancement of transportation,and more convenient trade,the original traffic significance of the ancient Tea Horse Road gradually fades,and its function as a transportation channel has gradually been replaced.The cultural charm,functions,and features of some historical towns along the route also showed signs of decline.At the same time,the current protection planning and development of historical towns often focus on the isolated protection of urban individuals,and ignore the overall protection of cross-regional cultural collaboration.This has great limitations on the inheritance of regional culture and the characteristic development of historical towns.The cultural route concept is a kind of overall protection theory based on the identity of the heritage area and the unity of time and space.Therefore,it is of great significance to guide the protection and development of historical towns along the route by using it as the core idea for the construction of historical town protection ideas and incorporating the cultural connotation of specific routes as the overall background.This article takes the "cultural routes" as the main research background,and follows the logical thinking of "theoretical analysis-current situation inquiry-asking questions-solving problems" to carry out research on the protection of historical cities and towns along the Sichuan section of the Sichuan-Tibet Tea Horse Road.The thesis focuses on the following five major Aspect content:(1)Research reasons and conceptual basis: Through the background of the topic selection,the meaning of the purpose,the definition of relevant concepts and research objects,and the elaboration of relevant research at home and abroad,the research ideas of this article are clarified,and the research framework is constructed to lay the foundation for subsequent research.(2)Theoretical exploration and protection ideas: Taking "theoretical exploration and experience reference" as the guide,and "basic research and problem discovery" as the bridge,the purpose of "construction of ideas and practical application" is realized.Specifically,first of all,interpreting the relevant theories and typical practices of the protection of cultural routes and historical towns,in order to form a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical basis in this study,and summarizing the effective countermeasures in the existing practice as a reference;Secondly,putting forward the basic idea of "differentiated level-accumulated foundation-operation planning strategy".(3)Characteristics and problems of the research target area: Based on a large amount of literature,historical data and field research,the following contents are summarized:(1)The basic characteristics of the Sichuan-Tibet Tea Horse Road in Sichuan section and the existing problems on the overall level of the route town group;(2)Analysis of the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of the route;(3)The cultural characteristics of the historical towns along the route;(4)Through the current situation,sort out problems in four major aspects of cultural protection,industrial development,social coordination and planning and construction in the protection of historical towns along the route.(4)Proposal of protection strategy: Taking the realization of the sustainable protection and development of historical towns as the core goal,and taking the authenticity,integrity and adaptability as the main principles,the two major levels of route town groups and individual towns along the route are proposed.Specific strategies for the protection and development of the Sichuan-Tibet Ancient Tea Horse Road(Sichuan Section)and historical towns along the route.(5)Practical application of the method system: Taking three typical towns with different scales in the same cultural characteristic area,namely the provincial historical and cultural city of Ya’an City and Lushan County,and the national historical and cultural town of Shangli Town as the research objects.Starting from the basic research in urban basic environment and historical evolution,cultural characteristics,and protection dilemma,we will carry out basic exploration,and then put forward protection development paths and safeguard measures in accordance with the actual situation.Based on the concept of cultural routes,this paper builds a research system for the protection of historical towns along the ancient road.Taking the Sichuan section of the Sichuan-Tibet Tea and Horse Road as an example to conduct research,we can deeply explore the development context and route characteristics of Sichuan section of the Sichuan-Tibet Tea Horse Road from the holistic perspective,as well as the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics and cultural characteristics of historical towns along the route,and clarify the practical dilemma existing in the process of protection and development of the town groups along the route and the historical towns along the route,and then put forward an overall protection strategy.In addition,through the overall view of the cultural route,the protection and development of historical towns and cultural routes will be combined to achieve regional linkage and common development to reach the purpose of promoting the protection of the overall urban cluster level of the historical towns of the Sichuan section of the route and the individualized development of individual towns.
