The security and stability of power system is a common problem which influences the social stability,economic development and people's life.Green,environmental protection,renewable characteristics of the new energy for the development of low-carbon economy is extremely important,so the development and utilization of new energy caused by the governments and the power companies attach great importance.The pumped storage power station has a strong ability of peak peaking and rapid load tracking ability,with the development of new energy supporting the use of the operation characteristics of the power plant to improve the safety and stability of the system,so the pumped storage power station has been rapid development.The first number of pumped storage power station more and more;another pumped storage power station stand-alone capacity is also growing.It is of great practical and far-reaching influence to study the new opportunities and new challenges brought by the grid-connected power station to the system to improve the anti-risk ability of the system,improve the quality of power supply and ensure the safe and stable operation of the system.Firstly,the paper analyzes the influence of the security and stability of the system when pumped storage power station connects to power grid in the aspects of the power flow,thermal stability,cross section transmission limit and transient stability.Taking the actual system as the research object,the operation characteristics of HongPing pumped storage unit are analyzed,and then the basic model of power generation and pumping is establishes.And based on the PSASP,the optimum factor method is used to calculate the power flow of the pumped storage power station.According to the simulation results,the influence of the grid connection of the HongPing pumped storage unit on the tidal current and thermal stability of the near-zone system is analyzed and effective control measures to this problem are provided.Then,in order to determine the transmission limit of the HuBei_JiangXi section,the line tripping distribution factors and the sensitivity analysis optimization method are adopted and the influence of different working conditions on the transmission limit of the section is discussed.Finally,the implicit trapezoidal integral method is used to calculate the transient stability of the system for the expected fault of the near-term transmission line and the main transformer.According to the simulation results,the system instability analysis is conducted,and two strategies of prevention and control and emergency control are studied to prevent the system from destabilizing.
