In power grid planning, reactive power planning is an important part. The optimization of reactive power planning is to determine the optimal location and capacity of the reactive power source on the basis of grid load forecasting and grid structure determination. The result will directly affect the voltage quality and operating economy of the future power system. The distribution network has a large number of variables, uncertain load distribution, and scattered positions of reactive power compensation points, and each variable influences each other and restricts each other.According to the characteristics of distribution network, this paper selects typical substations that can represent this kind of characteristics as the analysis object(local)based on the load composition ratio of substation and the type of the substation line, and obtains the entire network by solving the reactive power configuration of typical substations.Optimal reactive power compensation configuration. In solving the reactive power configuration of each typical substation, the heuristic optimization method and the mathematical optimization method are combined. The sensitivity method is used to determine the location of the line reactive power compensation point, and then the particle swarm optimization algorithm is used as the optimization algorithm for reactive power planning. The reactive power configuration of each typical substation. As the detailed examples and the result show:the number of each substation's reactive configuration refers not only to the capacity of the station?line types, but also to the load quality and load size.To some extent,it demonstrations the method of typical region application reasonable and scientific.
