The city squares gather a large number of people flow,is the citizen leisure, the activity important space.Because of its own spatial characteristics, the utilization rate and ecological function of city squares are easily affected by regional climatic factors. How to improve the microclimate condition of the city square through the design method,so as to respond to the regional climate characteristics and create a comfortable and pleasant square environment,is the core problem to be solved in this study.Based on this goal,Xi’an,a representative city in hot summer and cold winter area,is selected as the research object, and the application of urban microclimate related elements(solar radiation, air temperature and humidity, precipitation, wind environment)to the city square landscape is discussed. The spatial approach of design is summarized, and the method of example verification is used to master the rules of ecological design techniques, and the scientific framework of ecological design techniques are extracted. There are 18 integrated ecological design techniques and 3landscape layout modes. It has certain reference significance to the construction of city squares. This research is divided into six chapters, from theory to practice.Chapter 1,the research background, purpose, significance, literature review, research methods, research content and research framework. In chapter 2,the basic theories are introduced, the concepts and theories of city square design, urban microclimate and ecological design are expounded, the ecological design techniques are studied and the logical framework of the thesis is put forward. In chapter 3,we analyze the climate characteristics and the effect of square microclimate in Xi’an,and point out theecological goal of the design of Xi’an city squares based on regional climatic factors, and draw the conclusion that the square is stingy. The way of design.Chapter 4,through field investigation, questionnaire survey, analysis and induction, combined with the collection of relevant literature, discusses the effects of different climatic factors, such as solar radiation, air temperature and humidity, precipitation and wind environment,on the city square.Combined with four typical squares in six districts of Xi’an City, the present situation of microclimate design was analyzed from two aspects of spatial layout and element organization.Chapter 5,taking ecological target as the guide, abstracts and induces the ecological technique of the design of the square microclimate in the case analysis.Chapter 6,the conclusion of the paper, summarizes the research conclusion and innovation of the thesis. The ecological design of Xi’an city square based on regional climatic factors is put forward. This research innovation point:(1)analysis frame: through grasps the influence square space environment controllable variable element(the building encircles, studies causes the square microclimate environment to produce the change factor or the condition(surfacing, the plant,The landscape elements, such as topography and water body, are applied to the urban square landscape design through the discussion of the influencing factors of urban microclimate(solar radiation, air temperature and humidity, precipitation, wind environment). The research results of design technique frame.(2)for improving the microclimate environment of city square in hot summer and cold winter area are as follows: 18 design methods for landscape design elements are integrated, mainly discussing the distribution of single landscape elements.Three patterns of landscape elements layout were integrated to discuss the influence of different combinations of landscape elements on microclimate environment.
