In recent years, the rapid development of economic and social in China has led to a sharp increase in electricity demand, which has led to an acceleration of the pace of power grid construction. There are more and more high-voltage transmission and transformation facilities in urban centers. And the electromagnetic environment around them has become increasingly prominent. With the increase of civil environmental awareness, people increasingly concerned about the electromagnetic environment of substations and have increased their complaints and conflicts over electromagnetic pollution. Some electric power operators also have doubts about the electromagnetic environment of the work site. These problems have not now been solved and seriously affected the power grid construction. In order to standardize substation power engineering construction, the state has issued technical specifications for substation design and general design standards for power transmission and transformation projects. Therefore, research on electromagnetic environment for urban substations with universal design standards has important engineering significance for ensuring the quality of electric power projects, improving the safety of electric power workers, and establishing a green power grid.At present, the research on the distribution characteristics of power frequency electromagnetic fields in substations is less concerned with the impact of equipment or only on some regions.Substations are often classified by voltage level and AIS/GIS onlyand have not been studied in accordance with the quasi-design scheme of national substations. In view of the above problems, this paper studies the distribution characteristics of power frequency electromagnetic fields in a typical universal design standard substation. The work details are as follows:(1)Analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of various calculation methods and proposing the use of the BEM to calculate the power frequency electric field in the station based on the characteristics of the power frequency electromagnetic field in the substation. At the same time, based on the IES-Coulomb boundary element calculation software, the substation refinement models and electromagnetic field simulation calculations of equivalent models are performed. The attenuation characteristics of the electric field around the equipment are analyzed and the accuracy of the equivalent model is verified.(2)Based on the equivalent model of key equipment in the substation,a method for establishing the full station simulation model of the substation power frequency electromagnetic field considering the key equipment is proposed. The simulation is performed with a 500 kV 1# substation as an example. The simulation data is used to verify the effectiveness of the simulation.(3)According to the classification method in the national standard design scheme of smart substations, the substations are classified and 6 substations are selected for the whole station simulation calculation. Then, the electromagnetic field distribution characteristics of substations with different voltage levels and different configurations are summarized.According to the analysis of massive simulation data, the influence of key facilities and configuration schemes on the electromagnetic environment of the substation are systematically studied.
