With the recent sharp increase in load power supply and the city continued to expand to the periphery. The scale of grid, voltage level of transmission line and the pattern of power distribution and transformer equipment have changed a lot. Electromagnetic radiation effects on people's lives are increasingly highlighted and a higher quality of life also makes high-voltage power transmission equipment and electromagnetic environment around the issues be a greater emphasis. Against this background, this paper take the measurement about the 220kV substation expansion after high set post new substation and the electromagnetic environment around the high voltage transmission lines. Based on actual measured data on the 220kV substation and the electromagnetic environment of the new high set post lines, we take assessment and analysis to make recommendations to achieve environmental protection, protection of public health to strengthen public awareness of frequency of electromagnetic radiation and so on.We take the environmental assessment about the 220kV substation and electromagnetic circuit of the new high set post from the following three aspects: 1. Take the measure about electromagnetic fields around the substation and new lines and analyze in the limit with the national standards;2. Take the measure about radio interference level around the substation and new lines and analyze in the limit with the national standards;3. Take the measure about noise level around the substation and analyze in the limit with the national standards;Obtained by measuring, the frequency electric field of electromagnetic environment around the substation had a maximum limit by 75.5V/m, the maximum intensity of frequency magnetic induction is 0.1746μT, the maximum level of radio interference is 38.29dB, while the value of the region around the new lines were 443.4V/m,1.0873μT,37.17dB. They were all lower than the national regulations on the electromagnetic environment standards and noise emissions limits of the surrounding substations and high voltage transmission lines through the region.So the electromagnetic radiation around the 220kV substation of the high set after expansion is below the limit of the relevant provisions of the State. This is in line with national acceptance criteria. We also carried out a simple analysis about questions in the process of measurement.We are based on the actual development of Tonghua City, made the following recommendations: 1. Establish areas to protect lines, rational design of access systems, strengthen power grid construction and improve the scheduling system, strengthen the planning.2. Limit the working hours, take local shielding and other protective measures to minimize the impact of electromagnetic radiation on the human body.3. Formulate policies to prevent residents around the substation and overhead line to increase housing height and the number of homes for their immediate, personal interests, and causing a potential risk. It is not only adverse the long-term development of the city, but also pose a threat to the lives of others.
