With the vehicle emission regulations tightening increasingly,the actual situation of the implementation of laws and regulations has attracted attention gradually.At present,there is no effective measure to monitor the actual situation of road vehicle emissions.Therefore,it is of great significance to research and develop remote monitoring systems for vehicle engines.In this paper,a set of engine remote monitoring system was researched and developed with mobile communication,CAN bus and Internet communication technology,which was used to realize the remote real-time monitoring of engine,data saving and query.The main research work and results include:(1)The overall design of remote monitoring system for veheicle engine was conducted.Mobile network/Internet way was adopted to establish link between vehicle terminal and remote monitoring center.Three different data wireless transmission methods were studied and compared.Then based on actual needs,the dynamic IP and DDNS network architecture were adopted.With the engine monitoring parameters and system functions,system CAN communication and network data transmission protocol were formulated.(2)The construction of car terminal platform was performed.The Samsung S3C6410 chip which is based on ARM11 core was selected as the master chip.The ZTE MC2716 module was selected as the mobile communication module.And the MCP2515 and TJA1050 chip were selected as the CAN communication module for vehicle terminal.Then platform hardware of vehicle terminal was built.The Linux system was ported,and the 3G and CAN module drivers were added.Then CAN communication and network communication program of vehicle terminal were developed based on embedded Linux system.(3)The development of remote monitoring center software was completed.Based on the object-oriented software design concepts,in the VS2013 development environment,with the SQL Server 2008 database platform,software structure and thread were designed.Based on remote monitoring center function,using multi-threading,network programming,database design,ADO.NET,Measurement Studio components and so on,the software of network communication,data processing,and database operations modules for remote monitoring center was developed to achieve its real-time monitoring,data preservation,data query and communication management.(4)The system verification and test were performed.Verification of the CAN module and mobile communication module was performed for the vehicle terminal.The communication quality evaluation standard was established based on the network delay and packet loss rate.Then a detailed test and study were conducted about mobile-data transmission performance of the system.According to the actual transmission requirements,the best data transmission parameters were determined.And a test of the whole system was conducted with Huahai RapidECU.The results show that the system function is normal.The whole system operated stably,which has been met the design claim.
