With the continuous improvement of computer technology and the rapid development of mobile Internet,government and enterprise are developing information office.In order to improve the work efficiency of Bureau of Public Road of Hubei’s cities in dealing with road emergencies,make daily communication between them more convenient and at their request,I would add functions of video communications in the province’s road network emergency response system.Google’s open-source WebRTC technology bring audio and video processing,signal processing,media data real-time transmission and control which are needed in audio and video communication to browsers,that makes the browser becoming a powerful audio and video communication application platform.With the development and improvement of WebRTC,Google provides WebRTC source code in various platforms,so that WebRTC technology can be integrated into the mobile applications.Therefore,researching and applying WebRTC to the project,using its video communication capabilities and solving the requirements of project,is a very meaningful thing.In this paper,it mainly focus on the research and implementation of video communication based on WebRTC.And there are four main works in this paper:(1)Learning about the development process and application situation of WebRTC,and through the study of the domestic and foreign scholars on WebRTC technology analysis and application,this paper determine the feasibility of adding video communication function in road network emergency response system.(2)Deeply analyzing WebRTC’s technology architecture,audio and video processing process,and then analyze and compare signaling protocols which can be used with WebRTC.Study some new technologies which will be used to implement the various modules of the system,such as Node.js,MongoDB.(3)Using WebRTC to implement the P2 P video communication and video conference module in road network emergency response system.And this paper designs and implements client P2 P video communication and video conference function in mobiles powered by Android,studies and uses Intel’s Conference Server based on WebRTC as video conferencing MCU server and uses Socket.io and custom signaling to implement the signaling server.(4)Making functional tests for each function of the system and performance test for the video conference part.Basically achieve the user’s needs and at the same time ensure the system working efficiently and stablyUltimately,the thesis achieve the goal of implementing cross-platform the P2 P video communication and video conferencing module in Hubei Province road network emergency platform based on WebRTC technology,and bringing these functions to mobile devices,that provides mobile video monitoring function for areas where have no fixed video monitoring node and improves the efficiency of road emergency disposal.Based on the WebSocket technology and using the custom signaling message to implement the signaling server,which could reduce the complexity of the system and make the interaction process more flexible in video communication.The final results basically meet the demand of Bureau of Public Road for video communication function.
