The cultural landscape of the Honghe Hani terraced field has been listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List and has become a world cultural heritage due to its many functions such as production, ecology and high aesthetic value. The Hani terraced field can sustain thousands of years without the Hani people's rational use of natural resources and form a pattern of harmonious development of the four landscape elements of forests, villages, terraces, and rivers, and the study of settlements in Yuanyang County and the core area.It has very important practical significance. This paper focuses on the settlements in the core area of terraced heritage in Yuanyang County.By using GIS spatial analysis methods, geostatistical methods, and landscape ecology methods, the connection between settlements is evaluated using landscape connectivity, and the use of The minimum cost model and maximum entropy model predict the direction of residents' migration and draw the following conclusions:(1)The spatial distribution of settlements in Yuanyang County is uneven. The number and density of the northern slope settlements are higher than those in the south. In the core area of the heritage, due to the obstruction of Guanyin Mountain, the difference between North and South is more obvious.(2)The ethnic distribution of Yuanyang County is also quite different. The Hani people are the most concentrated. The settlement ranges of Hani,Dai and Han settlements are relatively uniform, and are all concentrated in the area of 1500-2000 m above sea level.(3)When assessing the core area through landscape connectivity,a threshold of 2000 m is selected to better reflect the connectivity level of the study area.In the 2000 m threshold, the core area settlement is divided into three components, which are in line with the three terrace areas. As a whole, the degree of connectivity in the core area is not very high, and the level of connectivity needs to be strengthened. When compared with existing roads, the connection lines are basically consistent, and the degree of landscape connectivity can better reflect the settlements. The degree of connection.(4)After assessing the importance index of settlements,Shengcun is a transportation hub connecting several tracts and plays a very important role in the connection of landscapes. The neighboring area mainly based on Shengcun is linked to several tracts.Has an important role.Followed by Duoyishu District,Duoyishu District can connect Shengcun and Panzhihua Townships, which is an important node in the landscape connection.(5)Using the minimum cost model to simulate the historical migration path of Yuanyang County, the residents in the core area have higher costs when migrating and are subject to large terrain restrictions.(6)Through the calculation of the maximum entropy model, there are mainly three directions in which the settlements in the core area may expand in the future. One is in the Xinjie District. With the increase in population, the area will focus on the present and the village as the core.Radiation;the second is the northern part of Shengcun. With the growth of population,it is an important direction for people to migrate in the future. The third is the direction of multiple trees, and the current density of settlements is relatively high. However, there is still a corresponding demand and space for settlement expansion.(7)In the future migration, the villages with more popula-tions in each of the three tracts will continue to radiate and spread to the outside, and there will be greater resistance to migration on both sides.
