With the continuous adjustment of China's energy structure,natural gas has become more and more widely used in various cities in China,and the competition between natural gas companies is becoming more and more intense.How to reduce the project cost of natural gas project has become an important aspect of project management of natural gas company.Natural gas engineering projects are mainly divided into long-distance pipeline engineering and urban gas engineering.The development of urban gas engineering relies on long-distance pipelines to provide gas source,while the cost of natural gas long-distance pipeline accounts for 50% to 60%of the project cost of natural gas companies.Therefore,the whole process cost management of natural gas pipeline is of practical significance for natural gas companies to reduce project cost.In the view of the construction unit,the paper firstly analyzes the current situation of the establishment,staffing,system establishment,process approval and organization and coordination of the project cost management of natural gas long-distance pipeline project,and puts forward that the current whole process cost management mainly exists in four aspects,such as insufficient depth of design optimization,insufficient information communication,delay in completion data and lack of performance evaluation of project cost management.Secondly,based on the related theory of value engineering study,put forward the project of gas transmission pipeline by using value engineering principle,optimize the design scheme,so as to effectively reduce the project cost at the design stage,improve the efficiency of the engineering investment.During the construction phase,BIM technology was introduced to optimize the construction plan,reduce engineering change,realize project information sharing,and speed up the preparation of completion data,so as to reduce the construction cost.The evaluation system and mathematical model of the performance evaluation system of gas long pipeline project are established,so that the construction unit can master the cost control effectof long-distance pipeline project and provide reference for similar project construction in the future.Finally,taking the project of A natural gas pipeline project as an example,the application of value engineering and BIM technology were carried out,and the performance evaluation of the whole process cost management of A project was carried out,and the effectiveness of the improvement measures of the whole process cost management was verified.The design optimization method,based on the cost control of BIM technology,and the performance evaluation of the cost management,perfected the entire cost management system of the gas long pipeline project,and it provides a reference and reference to the cost management practices of the gas long pipeline project,which will help increase the cost management of the gas pipeline project,and optimize the investment efficiency of the gas long pipeline project.
