Quanzhou Motor Transport Company of Fujian Province is the largest state-owned road passenger transport enterprise with the longest history in Quanzhou.Since the reform and opening-up,especially with the rapid development of domestic economy in early 20th century and the gradual improvement of infrastructure such as roads and highways connecting regions of Quanzhou,the company ushered in its prime time.However,it has been facing fierce competition and increasingly complicated market circumstances since Quanzhou opened up several high-speed rail networks in 2010and the adjustment of domestic economic structure after Global Financial Crisis in2008,which resulted in that its business performance remained stagnant and tended to decline.Based on such situation,the company has to make sensible judgments of the changing trend of its market circumstances,reorient and formulate its development strategy which is adapted to the development trend of the business and market.In the thesis,the external environment,which the Quanzhou Motor TransportCompany is in,is analyzed,the changing trend of the road passenger market in Quanzhou is estimated by using PEST model and Michael Porter's Five Forces Model.Subsequently,the internal environment factors of enterprises are analyzed,and the internal conditions such as system,culture,resources and capabilities are sorted out.Then,based on the SWOT analysis model,the paper analyzes the competitive advantages,weaknesses and market opportunities and threats of the enterprises,and draws 4 strategic choices based on the SWOT matrix.Finally,according to the above analyses,a mixed development strategy of the company is assessed and determined.Besides,the implementation focus of the development strategy and the organizational and resource support are fully discussed.Following the market and business development tendency,Quanzhou MotorTransport Company of Fujian Province should carry out Contraction Shift Strategy in its long-distance road passenger transport and implement Stability Strategy in the round-the-bay bus transportation and the business of urban and country transit.However,in the business of short-haul road passenger transport--the development emphasis of the company,it should enforce Growth-Oriented Strategy which is innovation-driven and integrates the development of products and market.By service innovation and strategic cooperation,the company will provide passengers with customized,integrated and intellectualized service,which will help the company form its differentiated competitive advantages and together with the expansion of the organizational customer market,Quanzhou Motor Transport Company of Fujian Province will finally realize its transformations and redevelopment.
